David Dutton and Nate Schroeder Present at Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers Seminar

Dutton Law Firm attorneys Dave Dutton and Nate Schroeder were among the presenters at the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers 58th Annual Seminar. The seminar, “Tips and Pitfalls for Litigators” brought together leading attorneys from across the state to speak on a wide variety of topics, including civil procedure, probate litigation, medical malpractice, and criminal law. 

Dave and Nate's presentation, "The Law of Interference with a Bequest," was an overview of key issues in cases involving loss of inheritance and their experience from recent cases involving claims of interference with inheritance. The presentation also covered combining claims with will contests and other probate litigation claims. 

Dave Dutton served as President of the  Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers in 1991 and currently serves as an At-Large Board Member. Membership in the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers is by invitation only, upon sponsorship and recommendation from peers and judges and unanimous approval by the Board of Governors. Membership is limited to 250 attorneys who have displayed exceptional skills and the highest integrity, and who have dedicated their professional lives primarily to trial practice.
