Nate Schroeder is a Partner at the Dutton Law Firm. Since joining in 2013, Nate has primarily been involved with the Firm’s litigation practice. Nate’s practice includes, but is not limited to, probate litigation (will contests), personal injury and general civil litigation.
Nate grew up in Dubuque, Iowa. Nate completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa in 2009, majoring in both Political Science and Philosophy and earning the Philosophies and Ethics of Politics, Law and Economics Certificate. During college, Nate gained insight into trial law while working at a general practice law firm in Dubuque.
After undergrad, Nate attended law school at Drake University. During law school, Nate gained practical experience as a law clerk at two Des Moines law firms and as Student Attorney through Drake’s Elder Law Clinic.Nate received his law degree from Drake University Law School in May 2012
Nate is currently a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division, Iowa Association for Justice, and Black Hawk County Bar Association.
Nate and his wife, Shannon, have three children. When not practicing law, Nate enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
